MULTI-SYSTEM WORKFLOW INNO® DIO® UFII Dentis s-Clean Neobiotech® IS-III active

From implant platform to definitive prosthetics

One clinic, multiple implant systems.Select components as one consistent chain.

A practical guide for clinic and laboratory:scan body → CAD library → Ti-base → fixation screw → analog / 3D model → instrument. The aim is not merely to find a “compatible part”, but to build a workflow that is consistent in both geometry and instrumentation.

The most important rule

Do not mix individual components across IPD series

Systems with similar geometry may offer more than one route, but once the platform has been verified, chooseone complete product branch. The Ti-base, fixation screw, scan body, analog and CAD library must all belong to the same selected workflow.

INNO® Submerged and Neobiotech® IS-III active show why connection geometry matters:the standard IS-III uses an IS connection with an 11° conical seal, 2.5 mm internal Hex and M2.0 screw. With similar 2.5 mm Hex systems, the specific platform is therefore verified first and only then is the complete assembly assigned to one IPD product branch.

Step 1

First identify the actual implant connection

The brand name alone is not enough. The specific system, platform and internal connection determine compatibility. These are the branches covered in this guide.

INNO® Submerged

One connection, but two practical routes that must not be mixed

The current website search maps INNO® Submerged to theXAseries by default. For specific verified R Ø4.0 configurations, a completeOB / Osstem Implant® TSIII R Ø4.0branch can also be assembled. It uses a final Hex 1.20 fixation screw and aligns well with DIO® UFII instrumentation.

Recommended approach:before ordering, send the implant label or confirm the diameter and internal connection. We then select one component family and keep the scan body, analog, Ti-base, screw and library within that family. The angulation table below shows the specificOB R Ø4.0branch.
Neobiotech® IS-III active · standard IS connection

Part of the same 2.5 mm Hex cluster, with a clear boundary for S-Narrow and IT-III

For the standardIS-II active and IS-III active Ø3.5 / 4.0 / 4.5 / 5.0Neobiotech specifies a shared prosthetic geometry:IS connection: 11° conical seal · 2.5 mm internal Hex · screw M2.0. For this guide, once the specific platform has been confirmed, we therefore use the practicalOB / Osstem Implant® TSIII R Ø4.0branch and keep the complete scan-body, Ti-base, analog, screw and library assembly within it.

Why this branch is useful:it uses the same OB component family and final Hex 1.20 fixation screw as the OB branch described above, so its instrumentation integrates well with DIO® UFII.
Do not confuse with: IS-III active S-Narrow Ø3.2which uses a 2.1 mm Hex and different geometry.IT-III activeis a tissue-level / non-submerged system. Neither option automatically belongs to the OB R Ø4.0 workflow.
INNO® Internal

A separate 3.1 mm Octa branch

INNO® Internal is not a Submerged variant. The manufacturer's compatibility table lists it with a3.1 mm Octaconnection, and the current website maps it to theDAseries. Exact component selection is prepared only after the specific implant and platform have been confirmed.

Do not confuse with:components from the OB/XA Submerged branches are not automatically used for INNO® Internal.
DIO® UFII NP · UB series

NP: separate platform, Hex 1.20

For DIO® UFII NP, the workflow uses scan bodyUB-SN, analogUB-AN, Ti-baseUB-IN, open-tray impression componentUB-PN-06/07and fixation screwUB-TN-00.

DIO® UFII RP · UB series

RP: the same UB series, but a different platform branch

For DIO® UFII RP, the workflow uses scan bodyUB-SR, analogUB-AR, Ti-baseUB-IR, open-tray impression componentUB-PR-06/07and fixation screwUB-TR-00.

Dentis s-Clean RP · verified XA branch

RP workflow using IPD XA-series components

The current website maps s-Clean RP to theXAseries, which IPD uses forDentium® Implantium® / SuperLine™ RP. For this reason, the specific s-Clean platform is always verified before the first order. Once the XA branch is selected, the scan body, analog, Ti-base, screw and CAD library remain consistent within that branch.

Step 3

Specific IPD components for each branch

This table is intentionally product-focused. It makes it easy to see whether the clinic needs only fixation screws or the complete digital / conventional workflow.

06 / 07:IPD uses these titanium components both as temporary abutments and as open-tray impression copings. Option06 is engaging, while option07 is non-engaging; for the impression, the corresponding long coping screw with the suffix/C.

Step 4 · interactive finder

How much ASC angulation does a specific Ti-base allow?

Maximum angulation is not a universal property of an implant system. It varies by platform and gingival height. Select the branch and GH.

ASC max
Selected configuration
Engaging

Ti-base wall 8 mm

Non-engaging

Ti-base wall 6.5 mm

ASC max is the geometric limit of the specific component reference. This does not mean that the maximum should always be used. The design must respect the access position, material thickness, bonding surface, occlusion and the recommended system screw.

Step 5

Fixation-screw geometry and system drivers

This is why a screw cannot be selected safely by thread alone. Screw-head seating angle, head diameter and driver profile are all parts of the same system.

Note on Neobiotech® IS-III:the values 90° / 2.30 mm / Hex 1.20 / 30 Ncm in the table describe the selectedIPD OB-TR-00within the working OB branch. They are not presented as universal specifications for all original Neobiotech screws; the specific implant and platform are verified before the first order.
Note on XA:the final XA fixation screw uses Hex 1.27. The current IPD catalogue lists a captive screw with Hex 1.20 for the XA scan body. For a complete digital workflow, it therefore makes sense for the clinic to have both driver profiles available.

Step 6

Conventional impression and digital model within the same logic

Depending on the case, the clinic can move between a conventional impression pathway and a digital workflow without losing platform identity.

Conventional

06 / 07 + long /C screw → conventional analog

The open-tray coping transfers the position to the impression and then to the stone model. The analog remains within the same series and platform.

Digital

Scan body → CAD library → digital analog /3D

The scan body defines the reference geometry. The CAD library must then use the corresponding Ti-base and analog for 3D printing.

EXKLUSIV DENT TECHNICAL SUPPORT

A CAD library is more than a download file

When needed, we can review the correct library series, platform, scan body, engaging / non-engaging option and target Ti-base with the laboratory. We can also assist with matching the scanned scan-body geometry to the library reference and selecting the digital analog.

Compatibility safety guide

Bone Level, Tissue Level and visually similar geometry are not the same

A system's marketing name and a visually similar platform shape are not enough. For implant restorations, actual connection geometry and compatibility of the complete assembly are decisive.

DIO® UFII Bone Level NP/RP ≠ DIO® Tissue Level / UFII Internal

This page coversDIO® UFII Bone Level NP and RP. Tissue Level uses separate geometry and cannot automatically be mapped to components intended for Straumann® Tissue Level® RN Ø4.8.

INNO® Submerged ≠ INNO® Internal

Submerged uses a 2.5 mm Hex in the standard branch, while Internal uses a 3.1 mm Octa. The two families are kept separate from the first identification step.

Neobiotech® IS-III active ≠ S-Narrow ≠ IT-III active

This branch applies to thestandard IS connection. S-Narrow Ø3.2 uses a 2.1 mm Hex, while IT-III active is a tissue-level / non-submerged system. The label “Neobiotech” or “IS-III” alone is therefore not sufficient for identification without confirming the exact variant.

Cross-compatibility does not mean “everything fits everything”

The Cowellmedi compatibility table is useful for identifying shared platform geometry. For ordering, however, the selection is always resolved within one specific IPD product series.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions when building a multi-system workflow

Can I combine an XA Ti-base with an OB screw for INNO® Submerged?

No. Once a product branch has been selected for a specific verified platform, its components must be assembled as one consistent family. Similarity of the implant connection is not a reason to mix screws and Ti-bases across series.

How is Neobiotech® IS-III active handled here?

The standard IS-III active shares the IS-connection prosthetic family with IS-II active: 11° conical seal, 2.5 mm internal Hex and M2.0 screw. In this guide, once the specific platform has been confirmed, it is handled as a working OB R Ø4.0 cross-compatible branch. S-Narrow Ø3.2 and tissue-level IT-III do not automatically belong to this branch.

What is the difference between an engaging and non-engaging Ti-base?

The engaging option transfers anti-rotational geometry and is typically used for single crowns. The non-engaging option is used when a restoration splints multiple implants and an anti-rotational index at each individual platform could interfere with passive seating. The specific indication must always be verified against the design.

Can I use one driver for DIO® and INNO®?

For the selected OB branch, the working Neobiotech® IS-III active / OB branch and DIO® UFII NP/RP, the final fixation screws use a Hex 1.20 profile. XA uses a Hex 1.27 final screw, so a clinic working with all of these branches should have both driver profiles and a shared RA / torque platform available.

Can I work only with a digital analog?

Yes, if the entire workflow is digital and the library supports the correct platform and 3D analog. For a conventional impression and stone model, the standard analog without the /3D suffix is used instead.

Technical sources and trademarks

Ti-base and ASC data are based on the IPD Ti-base Angulation Guide Chart. Product references for scan bodies, analogs, Ti-bases and temporary/open-tray copings follow current IPD 2026 product documentation. INNO® compatibility logic is based on the Cowellmedi compatibility table and is always verified against the specific implant. For Neobiotech® IS-III active, the page follows Neobiotech manufacturer documentation for the IS connection and the IS-II / IS-III relationship; the working assignment to OB R Ø4.0 is therefore explicitly marked as a cross-compatible branch to be verified before the first order.

Important information for use

Before clinical use: non-sterile device and correct component reference

Prosthetic components, fixation screws, scan bodies, analogs and Ti-bases must match the implant system, platform and selected clinical / laboratory workflow.

  • Products are supplied non-sterile; follow the current instructions for use.
  • Verify the platform, gingival height, engaging / non-engaging configuration, fixation screw and specified tightening torque.
  • Cross-compatibility or connection similarity does not replace verification of the correct implant and IPD component reference before clinical use.
